“Giving birth to mission innovation and activation to enhance lives and fulfill the Great Commission” The National African American Missions Conference (NAAMC) endeavors to educate, mobilize, equip, support, and send persons who will respond to the call of cross-cultural mission ministry. Some populations (including African Americans) are underrepresented in mission service, significantly challenged with securing financial support to respond to their heartfelt desire to answer the call of mission field service in the Great Commission. (One percent of African Americans are on the mission field.)
The Mission Ministry Award (MMA), formerly known as NAAMC Scholarship Award, has over the past four years (since 2013) financially assisted five missionaries.
Candidates agree to a minimum commitment of two years to a lifetime of field service. MMA recipients serve or have served in: Medical and Health, Human Trafficking, Prison Ministry, Community Development, Church Planting and Discipleship, Education and Training in Africa, South America, and North American Mission Mobilization.
The NAAMC recognizes, values, and celebrates the gifts of God in diverse populations and invites you to participate with us in investing in lives, communities, and people groups, globally. Partner with us to
enhance the lives of those who need the “good news” with compassion to educate; share bread and water; combat indignities such as human trafficking; and respond to disasters and traumatic events.
